Am prins jocul Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition la o super promoție în PlayStation Store și l-am cumpărat curioși să vedem ce înseamnă mai exact Tomb Raider, dar și ca să încercăm ceva nou. Eu n-am jucat practic, doar l-am asistat pe Ionuț, dând indicații de pe margine. Și suportul moral contează, vă zic eu. Jocul foarte mișto de altfel, ne-a făcut și mai curioși de filmul Tomb Raider cu Alicia Vikander în rolul personajului principal de care ne-am atașat amândoi, Lara Croft.
EN: We found the game Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on sale in PlayStation Store and we bought it because we were curious to see what this Tomb Raider was really about, and because we wanted to try something new. I personally did not actually play the game, but I offered assistance, which counts, I’m telling you. The game is really cool, and it made us more curious about the movie Tomb Raider, with Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, which we both love now. She’s a badass.
Când vine vorba de film, pot să spun că mi-a plăcut chiar multicel. Din trailer nu-mi dădusem seama că o să fie mai mult un suport pentru un posibil sequel, scenele de acțiune fiind mai puține decât te-ai aștepta de la un astfel de film. Nu că ar fi ceva rău în asta, dar filmul acoperă mai mult partea în care faci cunoștință cu Lara Croft, cu trecutul ei și cu rostul ei pe Pământ. Însă nu știu câte șanse are la sequel, așa că sper că nu au lăsat finalul ăla deschis degeaba, deși poate funcționa destul de lejer și ca final.
EN: When it comes to the movie, I can safely say that I quite liked it. After watching the trailer, I didn’t realized that it will be more like a backstory, the action packed scenes not being the core of the movie which you would normally expect from a movie like this. This is not a bad thing, but the movie covers more of the origins, like the fact that you meet Lara Croft, her past and her destin. I don’t actually know how much can we hope for a sequel, so I hope they didn’t left too big of a cliffhanger. Altought it can easily be a good ending as well.
Acţionând împotriva dorinţei finale a tatălui său, Lara lasă totul în urmă şi pleacă către ultima destinaţie în care ştie că s-a aflat acesta: un mormânt de pe o insulă mitică care s-ar putea afla undeva pe coastele Japoniei. Dar misiunea ei nu va fi una prea uşoară, chiar drumul în sine, până la misterioasa destinaţie, este unul foarte nesigur şi periculos. Alicia Vikander face un rol foarte mișto și îmi place s-o văd într-un rol atât de diferit față de ce a făcut până acum. Filmul e foarte bun pe genul lui, o adaptare reușită a unui joc video cu scene de acțiune și ceva emoții.
EN: Going explicitly against her dad’s final wishes, she leaves everything she knows behind in search of her dad’s last-known destination: a fabled tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off the coast of Japan. But her mission will not be an easy one; just reaching the island will be extremely treacherous. Alicia Vikander does a very cool role and I like to see her in something so different than all the others projects she did before. The movie is very good, a well done gaming adaptation with some very nice action packed scenes and emotions.
