With a lot of great special effects and a very cool cast, Black Adam is the latest production from the DC Extended Universe. It may not be the perfect Christmas movie, but if you love superhero movies or are a fan of the DC universe, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
I was personally intrigued to find out that Dwayne Johnson joined the superhero gang, but I didn’t know that Noah Centineo was also part of the cast – like, hello!, somebody please make me aware next time he shows up in a movie, thank you in advance 🤭 – as well as Viola Davis, Sarah Shahi (who I’ve discovered in Chicago Fire a few years ago ♥️), Pierce Brosnan, Quintessa Swindell and Aldis Hodge.
The movie is a classic superhero action packed movie, with a runtime of two hours that I still think is a bit too much for what the story needed, but that doesn’t mean you have time to get bored. The action scenes, the beautiful special effects, and Dwayne Johnson’s stare will keep you invested until the very end – keep your eyes open because you might have a surprise after the end credits start rolling. 😌
Synopsis: Nearly 5000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.
My powers are not a gift. They’re a curse, born out of rage.
Black Adam is now available to buy or rent. You can grab the 4K, Blu-ray and DVD starting the 16th of January.
